It’s the first post-patch tournament!

This Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament was special for two reasons. First of all, the main prize was absolutely awesome — it is called Evo Hospitality package and includes a trip to the biggest fighting games event of the year. This is a pretty expensive adventure, so the reward is worth fighting for.

And then — it’s a chance to see changes from the recent DBFZ update in the esports action. The players obviously did not have enough time to understand the refreshed meta properly, but the fights are both entertaining and educational.

The event is part of the Summer Community Series FGC Arcade at PlayStation Tournaments. The matches were online, for North American and European players. Let’s enjoy the show!

DBFZ Esports: FGC Arcade EU Finals

Jaorcas and Gropis fought each other in the Winners Final and the Grand Final. First, Jaorcas sent the opponent into the Losers. But then there was a very close fight for the ultimate victory. After the brackets reset, the winner was determined in the very last round. Congratulations to Jaorcas!

DBFZ Esports: FGC Arcade NA Finals

Gish had a successful run through the brackets. Score-wise, the Grand Final against Delfino Maza Deny was the most difficult match for the player. And still, Gish did not allow the opponent to reset the bracket. Congratulations!
