SonicFox and Go1 Close Out Battle Hour 2026 With a Bang
One of the hypest moments in DBFZ history.

This passing weekend, the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event was held in Los Angeles. As the name suggests, the even was focused on a wide variety of Dragon Ball titles, but for Dragon Ball FighterZ fans, it was mainly relevant thanks to new announcements and a big Master Showdown event, which features a match between two legends of the game – SonicFox and Go1.

Some of the most famous moments of competitive DBFZ happened when these two clashed in the Evo finals, showing off genuinely inspirational level of skill. There's no doubt that the hype those sets generated made many new players pick up the game, while also inspiring others to stick with it and improve.

For the battle hour they decided to do something special, and recreated another hype moment from competitive DBFZ, back when Sayhan and Kasuga kicked off their Kefla mirror with a cool as hell cheoregraphed clash sequence.

While some people had this weird take that they were simply doing an optimal opening, SonicFox personally confirmed that they did indeed try to make something special for the fans, something to mark their potential last fight with each other in DBFZ.

If you go down in the comments, it's an incredibly touching moment between the two, and an example of what makes fighting games so special, and one of the most beautiful things about the fighting game community. These games can bring us together in way few other things can.
