DashFight's What do Pro Players Listen To? Grr
Here is what Grr has blaring right now

DF: Give us five artistes you have on repeat right now?

Grr: I don't listen to much but I listen to Dated, they create Dark Lofi hip/hop music.

DF: What are your top 5 songs right now?

Grr: Sun Do (MK1), Fire temple (MK1), Heavy Rain (Dated), Monte Rosso (Peatu), Fever Chill (Zai Kowen)

DF: Do you have mood music for playing games? If so, who do you usually go with?

Grr:  I usually just listen to the videovgame OSTs, if it's good enough, I'll listen to that while playing. I consider myself to have unusual taste in music but I like what I hear and go from there.

DF: What is your comfort media? What is the story behind your love for it?

Grr: Youtube has endless amounts of content and I feel like I can tune in to my current watched content creators. Cooking videos and tutorials, ASMR eating, video essays. I've been using Youtube since discovering it in 2006 on my family's old laptop. I still remember how different it used to look back then, and the kind of videos and memes created in that era. A past I love reliving.

DF: Comfort movie?

Grr: The Incredibles

DF: Comfort series?

Grr: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

DF: What are your top 5 games outside of Mortal Kombat

Grr: League of legends, Yakuza 0, Left 4 Dead 2, The Binding of Isaac, TellTale's The Walking Dead

DF: If you could name one game that defined your childhood, what would it be? Can you tell us about your relationship with the game?

Grr: One game that defined my childhood was the first Gears of War for the Xbox 360. Gifts received during Christmas, it became a game that would be my introduction to the online world of gaming. Before Gears, I never played an online game, and the idea of playing with people across the country in real time was a new concept for me. I've met so many online friends during that time and had so much fun. I was living with my two brothers at the time, and we shared an account. That's when we combined our initials to name the account as GRR171821. And from that point forward, I would eventually branch out to fighting games, carrying the tag with me to this day.

DF: If you could only listen to one artiste for the rest of your life, eat one meal for the rest of your life, and play one game for the rest of your life, what would your selections be?

Grr: Let's see:

  • One Artist: Dated
  • One meal:  Halal style chicken over rice with white and red sauce
  • One Game: The Binding of Isaac

DF: What is one thing you don’t think anyone would believe you love, that you actually love?

Grr: I love horror art. I follow artists such as MeatCanyon, Dan Peacock, Miguel Vasquez, and others that specialize in creating unsettling art/animations. Most would find it disturbing but I've always enjoyed it and the feelings it evokes. I'm not big on horror games or movies so I'm glad I can appreciate this form of horror.
