Crossplay Finally Announced for Mortal Kombat 1
This was a pressing matter that needed to be resolved

Following the announcement that another guest character, Peacemaker, would be joining the cast of Mortal Kombat 1, it has also been announced that the game will now feature crossplay, starting next week.

This was made known via Mortal Kombat's official social media channels and was met with some relief and excitement.

Mortal Kombat 1 came out late last year to a overwhelmingly positive response and fans were truly excited as to where the game could go. But, interest has waned a bit since then as a litany of problems ranging from connectivity issues to a poor support of the competitive scene, has threatened the beleaguered game.

But it is hoped that with proper balancing, greater support for the competitive side, and better netcode, could bring the game back to something of its peak position.

Mortal Kombat's 1 crossplay will support the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of the game, meaning that those who own it on Nintendo Switch aren't going to enjoy the benefits.
