Leona Heidern

Biography

Leona is a mercenary with the Ikari Warriors. She is also the adoptive daughter of Heidern. Leona was born in an unnamed village where all the villagers had some Orochi blood in them. Her father, Gaidel, was the village head and he was on hand to stand up to Goenitz who is the head of the Hakkesshu, and who wanted the village to join the forces of Orochi. Gaidel would have none of it and refused to let the village partake in anything involving Orochi. 

However, an incident caused the Orochi blood in Leona to activate leading her to massacre everyone in the village including her parents. Confused by her actions, Leona lost her memory and wandered aimlessly for a while. She would eventually be taken in by Heidern who raised her as a member of the Ikari Warriors. She was assigned to join multiple King of Fighters tournaments along with Ralf and Clark who are perhaps her only friends. There, she was forced to remember her past leading her to once more enter into her rage mode caused by the Orochi blood. Broken by the memory of her past, she attempted to take her life but was stopped by Ralf who encourages her to live on.

Now, more confident in her ability, she stands against the Hakkkesshu and has mastered her Orochi powers, now able to use it to fight without being influenced by it. 

Personality

Leona is a warm-hearted person who feels driven by duty. That said, she is also very quiet and is even nicknamed The Silent Soldier due to her silent nature. She isn’t very good at showing emotions which makes her difficult to understand. She does hold her adoptive father, Ralf, and Clark in high regard and would fight to help them in any way she can.

Playstyle

Leona is a rushdown monster. She is mobile, strong, and hits hard. She excels and cornering her opponents and leaves them guessing with her excellent strike/throw game. She controls space well, and can deal a tonne of damage if not curtailed. On the flip side, she is heavily dependent on meter, meaning that anyone who uses her must be able to manage meter effectively. Also, she is not the easiest character to master, and she pays dearly for any mistakes she makes. 

Appearance

Leona stands at 5’8 with blue hair which is tied in a wild ponytail. She wears a sports bra and makes use of an arm pouch. She also wears camouflage pants with pouches to keep her accessories. She matches these with military-style boots. She wears black tactical gloves and tends to keep it simple in terms of what she wears.
