Ralf Jones

Ralf is an American mercenary who is a part of the Ikari Warriors. Not much is known about his past, but he joined the Ikari Warriors, befriending Clark and working under the command of Heirdern. He is a colonel with distinctive fighting abilities, which endears him to Heidern. He and Clark are considered the top operatives for the Ikari Warriors, and due to this, they form a team with Heidern for the King of Fighters 94 tournament. 

By the time the 96 KOF tournament rolls around, Heidern informs Ralf of a new member of the team, Leona. The two initially do not get along, but they grow to care about each other, with he and Clark being two of the only people that Leona talks to. In the 2003 tournament, Ralf and Clark faced their toughest test yet— a berserk Leona. Leona, who has Orochi blood, went into a rage and could not control herself. In this state, she would kill anyone without hesitation. Luckily, Ralf could withstand Leona and bring her back to her senses. He was also very pivotal in ensuring Leona did not take her life. 

Ralf remained a loyal member of the Ikari warriors, entering various tournaments to investigate any nefarious activities in the background. 

Personality

Ralf is the typical ‘manly man.' He loves fights and is always ready for action. His rough and tumble nature belies a softer side that sees him care deeply for his subordinates and those whom he works with. He forms a bond with Leona and Whip, whom he considers worth protecting at all costs. Ralf is also a man dealing with the pain of war and loss, which leads him to drown his sorrows in a drink from time to time. He is reliable, steadfast, and willing to help his friends in a bind.

Playstyle

Ralf, true to type, relies on getting in and damaging opponents optimally. He is a tad sluggish and doesn’t have many defensive options, but he has oppressive offense, which means he is a problem to come up against. Ralf deals significant damage and is very easy to use, with very good neutral buttons and amazing anti-air options. He is as beginner-friendly as they come.

Appearance

Ralf is a muscular man who has grown bigger over the years. He dons a bandana and a grey top. He pairs this with Military pants and boots. He wears red and black gloves and has a gun belt slung across his chest.
