Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta

Among all the forms of Goku and Vegeta, Super Saiyan Blue, or SSGSS (Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan), is the most powerful one. To reach this level, these characters trained with Beerus, God of Destruction, and his attendant Whis. But of course, it’s in the nature of these characters to strive for perfection. Regular threats from more dangerous opponents only motivate Goku and Vegeta to look for new and unusual methods of self-improvement. Ok, what about fusing them into a new warrior who will be stronger than the two originals combined?

There are two ways for Goku and Vegeta to fuse. They can use Potara fusion through the Supreme Kai’s earrings — that will be Vegito. Or they can perform the Fusion Dance and transform into Gogeta.

Then, Gogeta has two forms in DBFZ:

• Gogeta SS4 — when Goku and Vegeta dance being in their forms of Super Saiyan 4
• Gogeta SSGSS — a superior fusion when Gogeta has the power of Super Saiyan Blue

Let’s be honest, it’s pretty easy to get confused with all the fusions and their forms. Many episodes of the Dragon Ball anime (actually, a lot of them) are needed to bring clear logic into all the transformations of Goku and Vegeta. And that’s a great adventure — fascinating but unnecessary for playing and enjoying Dragon Ball FighterZ. Gogeta SSGSS is the power at its supreme level, and if you like this character and his fighting style, just add the guy into your team and destroy many opponents (yeah, some practice is essential to win fights).

Gogeta SSGSS joined the roster of DBFZ as a DLC character, so you will not meet him in the Story Mode.

It’s a high-risk, high-reward character. His fighting tools are close to being excellent: powerful air normals, an impressive command grab, great mix-up options, versatile combos, etc. Still, all the advantages might fall apart with only one mistake from the player — attacks and moves of Gogeta SSGSS are easily punishable, and you need a good experience to avoid this risk.

DBFZ | Gogeta SSGSS — Basic Attacks

• 5L — a quick hit, a bit from above, can be canceled into other attacks (not into Dragon Rush)
• 5LL — an upward hit
• 5LLL — Gogeta hits with two fists, an overhead attack
• 5M — an upward kick
• 5H — Gogeta teleports closer to the opponent, it’s a good counter option
• 5S — an energy beam that can be canceled into special attacks
• 2L — a low kick, Gogeta slides forward 
• 2M — Gogeta launches himself towards the opponent, covering quite a big distance
• 2H — a powerful uppercut; use it as an anti-air option
• 2S — a downward energy beam
• 6M — an overhead attack
• j.L — Gogeta hits downward from the jump
• j.M — three overhead hits
• j.H — Gogeta performs quite a powerful kick, significantly rushing forward; a long recovery makes this attacks pretty unsafe
• j.S — an air-to-air energy beam
• j.2H — Gogeta hits downwards with a steep angle; it’s useful only in rare situations

DBFZ | Gogeta SSGSS — Special Moves

• 236L/M/H — Soul Strike. This strike covers half of the screen. It can have follow-ups: L/M> L/M (a knee attack),  L/M > H (a downward kick).
• 214L/M/H — Rising Vortex. Gogeta is somersaulting and rushes diagonally up.
• 236S — Multiplex Afterimage. A few Gogetas appear, attacking the opponent.
• 214S — Punisher Drive. It’s a command grab with an impressive range. Gogeta attacks, covering an impressive distance, and then appears behind the victim. 

DBFZ | Gogeta SSGSS — Z Assists 

• Assist A — Super Dash Kick.
• Assist B — Rising Vortex.
• Assist C — Galick Gun.

DBFZ | Gogeta SSGSS — Super Moves

• 236L+M — God Punisher. Gogeta creates two energy spheres and then shoots ki blasts.
• j.236L+M — Stardust Fall. It’s a rain of destructive energy.
• 236H+S — Big Bang Kamehameha. It’s a very powerful beam.
• 214L+M or 214H+S — Meteor Explosion. Gogeta rushes forward, launches the opponent, and activates an explosion.
