World Warrior #2 Round-Up: Japan, UK, Canada and EMEA Results
UK saw a familiar winner, but how did some of the other regions fare?

The World Warrior events are a set of tournaments that represent one of the ways for a player to qualify for Capcom Cup. For the upcoming Capcom Cup X, players are able to get in through one of following means:

  • Offline premiers
  • Online premiers
  • Last Chance Qualifier
  • World Warrior

There are five World Warrior events and then one regional final. Each World Warrior event carries points depending on the position a player finishes. After the five events, the top 8 players will compete in a regional final where the winner gets to go to Capcom Cup

Over the weekend, there were a number of regions that held their second World Warrior tournament and we have the results for those.

Japan

Possibly the most contested region with 630 entrants. The winner was Yamaguchi, who defeated Kabe, 3-0 to win and got himself 50 points in the process.

In the EMEA, the winner was none other than Big Bird who also won the first event giving him a hundred points and a clear favorite to make it out of his region.

The United Kingdom saw another familiar winner in EndingWalker who has been showing everyone that tiers do not matter as he continues to dominate with his Ryu. He took down industry veteran, Broski in the Grand Final 3-2 to garner another 50 points.
