BlazBlue creator leaves ArcSystemWorks

Mori Toshimichi, creator and producer of renown BlazBlue series, announced his departure from ArcSystemWorks after 20 years of cooperation. Besides BlazBlue series, he took part in creation of Guilty Gear X, Guilty Gear Isuka, Guilty Gear XX Slash. However Mori Toshimichi is planning to continue to work in videogame industry on some new projects. 

Rick Sanchez in coming to MultiVersus

In the most recent teaser trailer, Player First Games showed the next character coming to free-to-play fighter, and it will be no other than Rick from "Rick and Morty" animated series. According to the leaks, there is also a special Halloween event to be expected in the end of October with some cosmetic rewards. 

Frosty Faustings XV full roster

Last week organisers of the upcoming Frosty Faustings XV finally revealed the full roster on disciplines to be presented at the convention. Registration for the event opens October 2, and the event itself will take place on February 2-5, 2023.

New one-hit fighter is coming soon

Die by the Blade, a new one-hit fighting game, focused on traditional Japanese weapons, will be released this year on November 3rd. The game will feature a single-player story campaing and online multiplayer battles. You can check out the official trailer down below.

E. Honda and Dhalsim in Street Fighter 6

Last week Capcom shared on their twitter some info regarding the updated abilities of Dhalsim and E. Honda, since both characters will return in the upcoming Street Fighter 6. The reaction from the community was kinda controversial since Dhalsim is already considered by many as very strong and annoying character, and making him even stronger might prove questionable.

Celtic Throwdown 2022

During the weekend, Celtic Throwdown 2022 took place in Dublin, Ireland and featured 16 tournaments in various fighting game disciplines. You can check the results on the event's official start.gg page or here on DashFight down below.

Capcom Pro Tour 2022 - Nordic/Baltic

Phenom, a well-known Street Fighter player from Norway, secured his spot for the upcoming Capcom Cup IX after winning the CPT 2022 Nordic/Baltic event. Check out the full results down below or on the event's start.gg page.

CEOtaku 2022

Another big event took place during the weekend, and it was CEOtaku, a spinoff convention focused on anime fighting games. There were a lot of intense fights and big results, so be sure to check the event's page down here or at start.gg

Besides some world-class fighting game performance, a couple of annoncements were made during the event. First, rollback netcode is coming to Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and Guilty Gear Xrd REV2. The public test will begin on Steam later in October. Second, DNF Duel, another fighter from ArcSystemWorks, will soon recieve a balance update with bug fixes and "something else", yet to be revealed.

Takra Cup 2022

Last weekend Takra Cup, the most pretigious videogame convention in Pakistan, came back to LAN with seven tournaments in various games, including of course Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XV, Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and The King of Fighters '98. Superstar player Arslan Ash won both Tekken 7 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. You can check the results here on start.gg page or down below. 

Glitch - Regen

One of the biggest conventions dedicated to Super Smash Bros. series, Glitch - Regen, happened last weekend in Laurel, USA. It featured Ultimate Doubles, Squad Strike, and Ultimate Singles tournaments, which was won by Light.

Brawlhalla Autumn Championship 2022 1v1

Brawlhalla Autumn Championship has been concluded with 1v1 tournament, which took place over the weekend. You can check all the winners and final barcket's results down below.
