VARREL Reveal SFL Japan Roster Featuring Tokido and Wabiichi
YHC-Mochi and TS are out but have been replaced by the ageless Tokido, and Wabiichi, one of the finest young players of his generation

Esports team VARREL have revealed their roster for the upcoming Street Fighter League Japan season.

VARREL, who recently added Japanese legend Tokido, have been one of the league's most consistent teams over the years. However, things changed after Moke transferred to FAV Gaming, leaving just Mago and Mizuha on the roster.

Those two have remained with the team and will now be joined by Tokido and the final member revealed in the roster announcement video, Wabiichi.

Tokido and Wabiichi come in to replace YHC-Mochi and TS, who both stepped away from the team, as VARREL look to improve their results in SFL. VARREL have not reached the playoff stage since 2023, when the team was still competing under the Gyogun name. Mago and Mizuha were both part of that roster, which finished second in the regular season and fourth in the advanced stage before ultimately ending their run in fourth place in the playoffs.

Tokido, who has found success with both FAV Gaming in 2023 and REJECT in 2025, could be the boost VARREL need to push for better results. Wabiichi also arrives as one of the promising young talents emerging from the Japanese Street Fighter 6 scene. At just 19 years old, he could prove to be a valuable addition to the team.

Wabiichi is currently competing in the Topanga Championship, where he qualified for the advanced stage from a group featuring players such as Tokido, Daigo, Kobayan, Gachikun, and others.

With a mix of experience and new talent added to the roster, VARREL can now head into the new season with optimism.
