MenaRD, Blaz & LeShar lead Evo's Top 20 Street Fighter 6 Pros of 2025
There are many who validly wonder if LeShar shouldn't be higher

Evo has released its list of the top 20 Street Fighter 6 players of 2025. The 30-minute video featured commentary from some of the biggest analysts in the scene, including Saint Cola, UltraDavid, Hameko, and Aru, as well as top players like GO1, Nemo, and Itabashi Zangief.

Topping the list, to no one's surprise, was MenaRD, who won both Evo Japan and Evo Vegas in 2025. Blaz and LeShar took second and third place, respectively. There was also room for the likes of Kakeru, who retired last year, and veterans like Tokido, Itazan, and Torimeshi.

Unsurprisingly, the list was dominated by Japanese players, with 12 entries coming from the Land of the Rising Sun.

The reception to the list has been mixed, with some expressing the opinion that a list of 2025's top players is coming out way too late, with 2026 almost over. There was also some disagreement over LeShar's placement on the list. LeShar had a phenomenal 2025, winning Combo Breaker, CEO, and Evo France in the same year, which was an incredible feat and one that many felt was more impressive than MenaRD's and Blaz's achievements.

It does seem that the Japanese community is more receptive to the list regardless of its timing. The format suggests that Evo might want to make this an annual event, and it is expected that if so, the 2026 edition will be released in a more timely manner.
