Five more players have qualified for Capcom Cup 13 through the World Warrior program over the weekend.
The players who have made it through include:
-
Hurricane (South Africa)
-
Bryzee (Europe West)
-
Brayan_Job (Brazil)
-
DestroyGodz (Central America West)
-
Vxbao (China)
With these qualifiers, there are only eight spots left to fill the 48-person contingent for Capcom Cup 13.
There were interesting stories from each of these regions that have made the qualification process more exciting. Hurricane qualified for his first Capcom Cup by winning the South African regional final. Hurricane, who is originally from Cameroon and has usually lived and competed in England, decided to partake in the Capcom Pro Tour circuit from Africa in a bid to bring more visibility to the continent, which has been underrepresented so far.
He made the decision in 2025, competing in the World Warrior for South Africa, but was defeated by JabhiM. He did it once again this year and was able to defeat JabhiM in winners finals before taking a 3-0 victory over Unmei to make it to Capcom Cup.
He tweeted about his triumph, saying:
“I’VE QUALIFIED FOR CAPCOM CUP!
“My first time making it, and this is a dream come true! I’m incredibly excited and grateful for this opportunity.
“Now it’s time to put in the work, train hard, and be ready to give it everything I’ve got. The journey starts now.”
