Dropping on September 12th, the 2.10 patch for The King of Fighter XV promises plenty of changes to the game's meta

Coming out early next week is the 2.10 Patch for The King of Fighters XV. This coincides with the release of the latest character, Duo Lon, for whom the team at SNK has already published a breakdown of their core moves. The full video showcases the main changes coming with the 2.10 update, and you will find a written version of said changes below.

Shun'Ei

  • Sky Axe (cancel ver.):
    • Now has a faster Start-up time and will combo off Light Attack

Meitenkun

  • Chou Geki Hou
    • Can now Adcance Cancel or Climax Cancel on hit.

Benimaru Nikaido

  • Inazuma Sandan-Geri (Normal ver.)
    • Can now Super Cancel from the final hit.

Dolores

  • Burj (EX ver.)
    • Reduced distance between characters after throwing (to make follow-ups easier)
  • Hilzuni (Normal ver.)
    • Changed from a mid to an overhead attack.
    • Slower start-up, can't cancel into Special Moves, etc.

Iori Yagami

  • Ge-Shiki Yumebiki
    • Made it easier to combo into its follow-up.

Chizuru Kagura

  • Uramen 1 katsu San Rai no Fujin
    • Clone no longer travels outside the stage.

Ash Crimson

  • Genie
    • Can now perform this move even while another GGenie is already active. When performed in such a manner, the active Genie will explode.

Elisabeth

  • Étincelle (EX ver.)
    • Can now be followed up.
    • Projectile no longer travels outside the stage.

Chris

  • Shooting Dance Thhrust (EX ver.)
    • Can now be followed up.
  • Chain Slide Touch (MAX ver.)
    • All hits now land against in-air opponents.

Maxima

  • Far Standing HP
    • Can now be canceled into Special moves.

Antonov

  • Vertical Macho (LP ver.)
    • Now invulnerable to aerial attacks, making it easier to use as an anti-air.
    • Can't cancel into Bering Wave, no longer causes hard knockdown, etc.

Ramón

  • Tiger Load
    • Can now be followed up by Hoist 1 or Hoist 2 on hit.

Andy Bogard

  • Shouryuu Dan (LP ver.)
    • Now invulnerable to aerial attacks, making it easier to use as an anti-air.

Robert Garcia

  • Hien Senpuu Kyaku (LK ver.)
    • Can be followed up.
    • Now knocks on-ground opponents into the air as well.

Mai Shiranui

  • Hissatsu Shinobi-Bachi (HK ver.)
    • Causes a hard knockdown.

Blue Mary

  • Vertical Arrow (EX ver.)
    • Can now be followed up with M. Snatcher.
    • M. Snatcher has anywhere juggle properties in these post-EX situations.

Vanessa

  • Puncher Straight (Normal ver.)
    • Adjusted start-up and follow-up windows.
    • New combos are now possible.
  • Champion Puncher (Normal ver.)
    • Increased invulnerability until after the move comes out.

Rock Howard

  • Deadly Rave EXT
    • Powered-up state now continues across rounds.
  • Shinkuu Nage
    • When the normal versions of this move hits after a Type: Shift, the opponent now falls at a distance that makes follow-ups easier.

Gato

  • Wind/Backdraft Fang (EX ver.)
    • Gato now faces the opponent when performing a follow-up after flying overhead.
    • No orientation change for Cipher Fang.

Geese Howard

  • Hishou Nichirin Zan (HP ver.)
    • Can now be followed up on counter hit.

Billy Kane

  • Suzume Otoshi (LP ver.)
    • Now invulnerable to aerial attacks, making it easier to use as an anti-air.
  • Kaen Suzume Otoshi (Normal ver.)
    • Increased Super Cancel window and made it easier to combo into Guren Sakkon.

Ryuji Yamazaki

  • Slam (Cancel ver.)
    • Reduced knockback distance on hit.
    • When canceling this into Specia Moves, made it easier to connect them into combos.

Orochi Yashiro

  • Tsubusu Daichi [from Kujiku Daichi (HP ver.)]
    • Can now be followed up on counter hit.

Haohmaru

  • Crouching HP
    • Now knocks down in-air opponents on counter hit, with the possibility of follow-ups.

Nakoruru

  • Mamahaha Attack
    • Now knocks down in-air opponents on hit, with the possibility for follow-ups.

Darli Dagger

  • Crouching HK
    • Now launches opponents on hit.

Omega Rugal

  • Double Tomahawk (Normal ver.)
    • No longer knocks down opponents on hit.
  • Violent Ray (Normal ver.)
    • Now knocks down in-air opponents on hit, with the possibility for follow-ups.
  • Desperate Ray
    • Expanded OTGG hitbox
    • Will now combo off a Genocide Cutter (EX ver.) even from midscreen.

Shingo Yabuji

  • 101 Shiki Oboroguruma Unfinished (EX ver.)
    • Expanded hitbox on first hit, making it easier to use in combos from midscreen.
  • Shhinggo Kick Air (Normal ver.)
    • Can now be triggered from a backwards jump.

Kim Kaphwan

  • Hisen Kyaku (EX ver.)
    • Now invulnerable to projectiles
    • Altered on-ground knockback to a knockdown that allows for follow-ups, etc.

Goenitz

  • Wanhyo: Tokobuse (EX ver.)
    • Changed attack start-up from 15F to 8F.
    • Now invulnerable to aerial attacks, making it easier to use as an anti-air.
