New bug puts online competition in a really bad spot.
We all know that Tekken 8 is not quite perfect, there's a lot of polish and balancing in the way of it becoming a game that everyone can be fond of, but few imperfections stand out as much as the one that Ulsan has recently pointed out on X (previously and currently called Twitter by everyone).
If you haven't noticed the issue, after Ulsan blocks the power crush, there is a brief period where the game does not accept his inputs. While he seems to attribute this to netcode problems, there could be a variety of reasons behind this. One solution in the replies even suggests that it could be down to Steam controller support.
Regardless, software of any kind is a hellish contraption made up of ropes, levels, pulleys, and hundreds of gears that must move in total harmony with one another, and just one mistake in any part of this process can have unforeseen consequences, like the infamous coconut.jpg buried in the TF2 files, which the game can't run without.
This has the potential to make the process of bug fixing to be surprisingly complicated and time-consuming, but with an error this critical, let's hope that Bandai Namco is already on top of this issue.
