Mortal Kombat 2, the sequel to the 2021 live-action movie, might be closing a deal to get Tati Gabrielle as Jade after signing The Boys star Carl Urban as Johnny Cage earlier this month.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress, who recently starred as antagonist Joan Braddock in the adaptation of Uncharted, is in talks with New Line to participate in the film. Tati Gabrielle may also be known to you for her roles in Netflix series You and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Production will begin this summer in Australia with Simon McQuoid in the director's chair. Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica MacNamee as Sonya Blade, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion will also feature in the sequel.
The release date for Mortal Kombat 2 is still unknown. We will likely hear many more updates on the sequel soon due to increased interest in the franchise after the recent premiere of the Mortal Kombat 1 from NetherRealm Studios.
