Street Fighter Ranks 3rd In Capcom's Best Ever Selling Games
The iconic fighting game is still one of Capcom's best properties

Street Fighter is one of Capcom's best-selling properties, and easily the company's best-selling fighting game.

Following the release of Capcom's Q1 2025 sales results, Japanese gaming outlet, Genki, put out a list of the best-selling Capcom games of all time, and Street Fighter sits snugly in the 3rd position above Mega Man and Devil May Cry but below powerhouses like Resident Evil (which sits at the top) and Monster Hunter.

Street Fighter has a lifetime sales figure of 57 million with Street Fighter 6 making up 5 million of those sales.

The latest Street Fighter game has made quite a splash around the world, but most notably in its home country of Japan, where several tournaments, events, and spectacles have sprung up around the game. The competitive scene in that region has experienced a great bump, and it is almost reaching the impossible levels of Street Fighter II.

The figures for Q1 show that Devil May Cry is the highest-selling Capcom game of the last several months. This has been attributed to the success of the Netflix series, which some have maligned, but is clearly making an impact. In the same period, Street Fighter 6 sold over 500,000 copies, with the sales figure receiving a bump thanks to the release of the game on Nintendo Switch 2

With the 3rd season of Street Fighter 6 underway, it will be interesting to see how well it sells by the end of the game's lifecycle.
