With all the teams having played each other now, matchday 6 saw the start of reverse fixtures, and the ones in contention were:
Fukushima IBUSHIGIN vs Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto
Shinobism Gaming vs Good 8 Squad
Nagoya NTP Oja vs DetonatioN FocusMe
Game1: Fukushima IBUSHIGIN vs Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto
Kakeru (Akuma) 1 vs Nemo (Bison) 2
Yanai (Bison) 0 vs Fuudo (Ed) 2
Cosa (Ken) 2 vs Higuchi (Guile) 3
IBUSHIGIN had so far managed to keep themselves within touching distance of a playoff place, but that suffered a huge blow with SS Kumamoto taking a 40-0 victory over them. Cosa was the closest to getting a result having been 2-0 over Higuchi, but the Guile specialist brought it back to shoot SS Kumamoto towards the top half of the table.
Final Scores
Fukushima IBUSHIGIN (0) vs Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto (40)
Game 2: Shinobism Gaming (Away) vs Good 8 Squad (Home)
Momochi (Ed) 2 vs YHC-Mochi (Dhalsim) 1
Yamaguchi (Ed) 2 vs Kawano (Akuma) 0
Fujimura (Akuma) 3 vs Gachikun (Rashid) 1
Good 8 Squad had been the in-form team of league S and were sitting pretty at the top of the table, but that took a huge dent when Shinobism came around. Interestingly, in the reverse fixture, they had won 0-40, and they now had it done to them with phenomenal results from all who played. G8S are still far from being in any danger of missing out of the playoffs, but will hope to see their form improve.
Final Scores
Shinobism Gaming (40) vs Good 8 Squad (0)
Game 3: Nagoya NTP Oja (Away) vs DetonatioN FocusMe (Home)
Otani (Ken) 2 vs Itabashi Zangief (Zangief) 0
Kei.B (Bison) 0 vs Machabo (Akuma) 2
Tachikawa (Ed/Manon) 3 vs John Takeuchi (Rashid) 2
Perhaps the Zangief nerf affected Itazan, but he was unable to defeat Otani which laid the groundwork for Nagoya Oja. While Kei.B lost, Tachikawa was on hand to make the msot of his modern Ed to take the win and get his team a precious 20 points.
Final Scores
Nagoya NTP Oja (30) vs DetonatioN FocusMe (10)
