Game 8

With the playoffs looming closer, this was an incredibly important matchday for the players as it more or less sealed the fate of some.

  • Belc FAV Gaming vs VARREL
  • Crazy Raccoon vs Hiroshima TEAM iXA
  • Yogibo REJECT vs CAG OSAKA

Game 1: Belc FAV Gaming (Away) vs VARREL (Home)

  • Ryusei (JP) 2 vs Daikoku (Guile) 1
  • Ryukichi (Ken) 1 vs Mizuha (Cammy)
  • TS (Akuma) 1 vs Mago (Juri) 3

FAV Gaming are not going to qualify for the playoffs and they looked to play spoiler for VARREL who would hope to be able to get a couple of points. It was a successful situation for VARREL as even though they lost the first game with Ryusei, who has been speaking about how powerful he feels JP is. But Mizuha and Mago won their matches to take out FAV Gaming.

Final Scores

Belc FAV Gaming (10) vs VARREL (30)

Game 2: Crazy Raccoon (Away) vs Hiroshima TEAM iXA (Home)

  • Kazunoko (Cammy) 2 vs Hikaru (Manon) 1
  • Dogura (Bison) 2 vs ACQUA (Blanka) 1
  • Shuto (Akuma) 3 vs Hibiki (Lily) 1

Crazy Raccoon and Team iXA were level on points and so  this game was so, so important. It was Crazy Raccoon that got through with a huge 40-0 win. This is remarkable as it was an away game for them, and while most of the games were close, CR were the stronger team. Hikaru went first and went with the Manon pick against Kazunoko's Cammy. This was not expected, but Hikaru did really well, unfortunately, it was not enough to defeat Kazunoko.

The second match was also close as ACQUA tried to upset Dogura, but the veteran was too strong. The anchor match saw Hibiki playing again, but he was unable to defeat Shuto who was the winner of the last CPT. Hibiki has not been successful in the anchor spot so far and with the defeat this leaves Hiroshima Team iXA hanging by the thread in their quest for the playoff spot.

Final Scores

Crazy Raccoon (40) vs Hiroshima TEAM iXA (0)

Game 3: Yogibo REJECT (Away) vs CAG OSAKA (Home)

  • Akira (Cammy) 2 vs Fenritti (Blanka) 1
  • Tokido (Ken) 2 vs Go1 (Chun li) 1
  • LeShar (Ed) 3 vs Eita (Akuma) 1

REJECT have been the trailblazers of this league and a huge part of that has been LeShar who has been phenomenal. LeShar was in the anchor spot again and got the win over Eita's Akuma. With this win, REJECT are almost completely through to the playoffs and if they can get a result in their next match, they are guaranteed a spot.

Final Scores

Yogibo REJECT (40) vs CAG OSAKA (0)
