Street Fighter 6 Sells Four Million Copies

Street Fighter 6 was released in 2023 to strong sales and a great reception from the FGC as they were excited for the latest addition into the Street Fighter franchise. Since its release, the game has only gotten better. 

Street Fighter 6 has now announced that it has sold four million copies worldwide, which is a pretty impressive number. 

Street Fighter 6 announced 3 million sales back in January 2024 and since then, the game has only gotten more popular with hype tournaments such as Capcom Cup, Evo Japan, and the Esports World Cup. 

But, what has also happened, is that the game has seen an influx of new players thanks to easier controls and several tournaments that are beginner friendly. In Japan, events like Crazy Raccoon Cup and more recently in the United States, the Sajam Slam for Street Fighter 6 has made more people willing to try out the game. 

It took a little over eight months for the game to grow by another million sales, it will be interesting to see how much it does with the new characters coming and another balance patch.
