Street Fighter 6 Named In Polygon's Top 10 Best Games of 2023

Street Fighter 6 was released in June 2023 to stunning reviews as people could not get enough of the new edition of this legacy fighter. It was clear from all the favourable coverage that it would be in contention for one of the best games of the year, not best fighting game, BEST GAME!

So it is as massive video gaming outlet, Polygon, has put out its list of the top 50 games of 2023 and there is Street Fighter 6 sitting pretty in 7th spot. 

This places SF6 above the likes of Hoyoverse's Honkai Star Rail, Starfield, Diablo 4, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. 

Street Fighter 6 has not been without its issues with players complaining of the parry system and some predatory financial practices involving the game's skins. But, the overall reaction to the  latest Street Fighter has been satisfaction and excitement. 

The game's popularity has been further proven by its strong numbers including sales which surpassed 2 million in October, and consistently being  among the top games in various regions. 

The top game on Polygon's list was The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom which was Nintendo's much anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild which was released in 2017.
