Capcom released its financial results for the second quarter of its 2023 fiscal year, revealing that total sales for its latest fighting game, Street Fighter 6 have reached 2.47 million units worldwide.

Street Fighter 6 launched on June 2, 2023 and saw explosive early adoption, selling over 1 million copies in just 3 days. By July, over 2 million copies had been sold, outpacing the sales trajectory of its predecessor, Street Fighter 5.

Over the last quarter, Street Fighter 6 sales grew by nearly 500,000 additional units thanks to the release of new DLC characters Rashid and A.K.I. More characters, including fan favorites Ed and Akuma, will be released in 2024.

In the report, Capcom also provided updated sales figures for its top franchises. The Resident Evil series leads at 150 million total units sold, followed by Monster Hunter at 91 million units. Street Fighter takes the #3 spot, with 52 million units sold to date.

Street Fighter 6's rapid sales growth show the enduring popularity of the iconic fighting series. With more content drops planned for next year, Capcom is poised to build on the momentum and engage fans with its latest title.
