Street Fighter 6 Producer Drops Massive Lore Bombshell Regarding G & Q

Street Fighter's lore is not the easiest thing to get into with the story fragmented across various titles, and while the story has stayed somewhat cohesive, it can be a little confusing sometimes and this enables lore theoriests to engage with the story in an interesting way. 

One of the most intriguing mysteries has always been the perceived connection between the enigmatic Street Fighter 3 character, Q, and the self-proclaimed President of the world in Street Fighter V, G. 

The two have similar designs, and both have a murky past that no one really knows much about. Therefore, a prevalent theory was that the two were possibly the same person. 

However, Street Fighter producer, Takayuki Nakayama, in an interaction with a fan on Bluesky, let slip that Q is an extraterrestrial being that is something of an urban legend. On the other side, G is considered a manifestation of the Earth's response to Q's threat. 

While this shuts down the idea that G and Q are synonymous, it still doesn't explain exactly what they are or how much more of a connection they share. 

For some, this might mean that G is not Q, but a manifestation or form of him.
