Sonix Wins Port Priority 8

A huge event in Seattle, WA, gathered more than 700 players in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles bracket. The stakes were high: not only Port Priority 8 had tough competition and a hefty prize pool, but also one player would qualify for Watch The Throne 2023.

For Carlos "Sonix" Pérez, qualifying for the event in San Jose was not in question: he got a precious spot after finishing second at Luminosity Makes Moves Miami, but winning a big event is a huge motivation on its own. The player from the Dominican Republic had a stellar event and deservedly claimed first place, losing only one set in the grand finals. Miya was able to get a reset but couldn't seal the deal.
