Cloud9 releases Mang0 Following Controversial Stream Clips

Following a controversial clip of Mang0 during the "Beerio Kart" event in which he harassed another content creator while in shorts and under the influence of alcohol, Cloud9 initiated an internal investigation into said behaviour. A few hours later, the team had confirmed that the renowned Smash player, and 11-year-long member of the team, would be released, announcing it via the following statement on X (twitter).

A number of tournament organizers, community members, and fellow Smash competitors have also banned or distanced themselves from Mang0. For his part, he has accepted responsibility in a lengthy post, identifying alcohol abuse as one of his key struggles. He has approved the bans and Cloud9's release, stating that he will focus on seeking help and staying on the path towards recovery.
