SF6: JeSU Confirm Selection Criteria For Reps At All Asian Games 2026
Only the best of the best will represent their country

The All Asian Games 2026 will, for only the second time, feature esports titles. One of those titles will be Street Fighter 6, with players from various countries across Asia competing for a chance to win a medal for the fighting game.

In light of this, the Japan Esports Union (JeSU) has released its criteria for picking players that will represent Japan for the games. There should be between 2-3 players representing the country, and there will be 3 tournaments that JeSU will pay attention to, namely:

  • CAPCOM Pro Tour 2025 World Warrior Japan Tournament #1- #5
  • CAPCOM Pro Tour 2025 Premier Tournament "Kuaishou FightClub Championship VI · Chengdu"
  • CAPCOM CUP 12

This means that the best-performing Japanese players from these tournaments will have the opportunity to represent their country at the Asian Games 2026.

In 2022, when the last Asian Games held and was the first time Street Fighter V was featured in the tournament, Evo winner, Kawano and Mago were the representatives for the country. The tournament was ultimately won by M. Lizard from South Korea. However, with the strength of the Japanese community in Street Fighter 6, they have a strong chance to win.
