Red Bull Kumite Returns In 2024: Iconic Tournament Hits New York

The iconic Red Bull Kumite returns in 2024 in New York where 16 of the best and brightest will compete to make the tournament and get a shot to win the grand prize. 

Last year's event was held in South Africa, with Big Bird taking the trophy and it was one of the first events to have Street Fighter 6 as the game to play. While there, we got to witness breathtaking matches including the legendary one between Tokido and JabhiM. 

This year's RBK has a few new additions including a new way to qualify. The system is called a 'Play-In' which has been used in the NBA and will be used to decide the last entrant into the tournament. It will feature 8 players with one winner gaining a ticket to the main tournament. 

The second way to make it in is via a Last Chance Qualifier that will take place just before the tournament and feature a 256-man bracket which players will have to get through till there is one man left standing.

Red Bull Kumite 2024 will take place at the Brooklyn’s historic Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse from the 16th to the 17th of March 2024.
