Play Fighting Games? Learn to Lose!
Emotional resistance to losses is only part of this process

Losing a match is not the best feeling in the world. There is probably not a single person who would say that they play fighting games to experience “refreshing emotions of being washed”. Nope! Even just staying indifferent and emotionally stable after getting an L in a tense match is quite an achievement.

And still, losing is inevitable; it’s part of the process. Learning to lose includes a lot of aspects, from getting prepared for such an outcome to not avoiding losses in your regular playing sessions. We talk about these aspects in a new video on DashFight’s YouTube channel.

How do you live through losses? Do you have some tips for other players? Please share them (and your general thoughts on this topic) in the comments section under this post or on the YouTube page.

Losing matches often leads to FGC toxicity. We have a dedicated video about levels of saltiness in the community.
