Cheaters can run but it seems they cannot hide from harada's fury
Bandai Namco annouced today a new wave of bans and suspensions for accounts suspect of cheating, inappropriate customization, and of course, outright cheating. In the announcement post, the Tekken team also outlined an update due in March to combat cheaters and other evil-doers in the Tekken ladder.
The post follows after a long history of proactive enforcement by the part of Bandai Namco to curtail cheaters and other rule breakers. Harada made his original promise in late January, soon after release. And a month later, during the V1.02.01 patch notes, cheating was called out as one of the things the team was going to look into. Finally, yesterday, cheaters got up and protested these measures, prompting the series's director, Harada, to respond.
