The North American league PSA Circuit 2 has a few levels of qualifying tournaments. Melty Blood: Type Lumina players can participate in:
bi-weekly online PSA Circuit 2 Qualifiers (like this one, #4);
monthly online Blitz Blood Melter tournaments
Offline Qualifiers that give standing points
Major Offline Qualifiers that give a direct ticket to the upcoming Finals event, PSA Summit 2, on March 9-10.
The tournament at HoG: Darkside was an Offline Qualifier with fights for points. Well, it’s quite a motivation to do your best, isn't it? (as if fighting game players need any extra motivation for this)
Let’s take a look at these matches, the results, and a list of characters in use.
MBTL Esports | HoG: Darkside #1
At one of the Major Qualifiers, ECT 2023, Kiri played Arcueid Brunestud in Top 8 — and won that tournament, alongside a spot at PSA Summit 2. This time, the player switched to Noel but got the same wonderful result.
Kiri defeated all the opponents on the way to the Grand Final quite confidently, losing only one game in the Quarter against F O X and one in the Final vs Erin.
In the Losers Final, Erin defeated Kikoho (the PSA Circuit organizer) and still reached the Grand Final. In quite a tough fight, Kiri managed to win the decisive game.
As Kiri and Erin have already qualified for the Finals (and Kikoho can’t do this as an organizer), the most meaningful points went to other players. The points are kind of the most important for Jaykom and Arhkma MuddyKipz, who strengthened their positions (53 and 36 points atm). Nighto (11), F O X (7), and Silic0n (4) have a lot of work to do in other qualifiers.
This year, we have a few online qualifiers left. The last PSA Circuit 2 Major Qualifier happens on January 26-28, 2024 — it’s Frosty Faustings XVI.Stay tuned to DashFight for more info on this league and for everything interesting around Melty Blood: Type Lumina.
