French-Bread Announces Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina

As usual, Evo Japan resulted in a whole slew of fighting game announcements. However, even the most hardcore optimists probably didn't expect to hear French-Bread announce that Melty Blood: Type Lumina will be getting a sequel, though it's more of a "new edition."

Exciting as it is, we only have a short teaser for now, which does nonetheless reveal that we will be seeing Len as the first new character of Twi-Lumina.

Judging by small glimpses of gameplay, her gameplay will be very similar to what you might have seen in Melty Blood: Actress Again: Current Code, but we'll likely see more nuances closer to release.

Speaking of which, French-Bread promises an early 2027 release, which we might speculate to be somewhere close to February. This leaves them with a lot of time to work on the game, as we're not even halfway through 2026.

For the same reason, we probably won't hear too much about the game until it's only a few months away. After all, it's much better for marketing when you can keep a steady trickle of new and exciting announcements, like revealing new characters, new system changes, and other fun stuff.
