Capcom announced last night that the Master Rank (MR) in Street Fighter 6 will be reset at midnight on November 1, 2023, marking the official start of Phase 2 of the Master League.
A 364 MB update for Street Fighter 6 is now available, implementing the MR reset. Players receive prompts indicating Phase 2 will span November 1, 2023 to February 1, 2024.
The official Street Fighter Twitter page reiterated that each Master League phase will last 3 months. After February 1, 2024, Phase 3 will commence and also be 3 months long.
While MR has been reset to give players a fresh start in Phase 2, League Points (LP) have been retained even for those still in Master League. This allows players to maintain their progress.
The Master League is Street Fighter 6's competitive ranked system. The phases and seasonal resets give opportunities for new players to catch up and allow veterans to re-prove their skills.
Capcom aims to keep the Master League dynamic and exciting with these regular resets. Street Fighter fans are eager to jump into the new phase and climb back up the ladder.
