Maesuma TOP #10: an Offline Smash Event in Japan

The Tour is approaching its end — Maesuma TOP #10 is the last Platinum event in 2022. The previous one was First Attack 2022, won by Sonix. Obviously, this time, it was a chance for Japanese players to shine.

The tradition of fighting games in Japan is very special, and watching pro matches from this country can teach you a useful trick or two. So, why not enjoy the top-most Japanese SSBU competition?

あcola turned out to be the strongest player at the event. In the Top 8 part, あcola had a tough Winners Semi-Final. The following matches were much more confident for the Champion. Congratulations!

In the general standings of the World Tour, あcola is fourth with 2370. The leader is MkLeo with 3925 points. Glutonny is second (2685 points); Sonix is third (2555).

Before the Finals in December, the Smash World Tour will have a few Gold events. The next one is Viva La Smash, on October 21-23 in Mexico.

Not all big SSBU events are part of the World Tour. For example, the recent Smash Ultimate Summit 5 was a remarkable tournament on its own.
