Kilzyou lands a rare two-year deal with All Gamers while Caba's surprise move to GodLike raises more questions than answers
The Esports World Cup player transfer deadline is just three days away, and organisations are scrambling to secure their rosters in time. Two significant signings dropped today, and they could hardly be more different in character.
Update: 13:00pm 27/04/2026
Bandits released a post on X saying goodbye to Caba and explaining that he is still with the team through management. This means he is being managed by Bandits Gaming, but will be sponsored by GodLike Esports.
Kilzyou Joins AG After Karmine Corps Departure
All Gamers have announced the addition of French player and Capcom Cup 2026 runner-up, Kilzyou, to their roster. Kilzyou's time with Karmine Corps came to an end in 2025, and the period without an official sponsor that followed was a headscratcher given his status as one of the most consistent players in Street Fighter 6.
That changed the moment he took second place at Capcom Cup. The top 4 finishers at the tournament gained automatic EWC 2026 qualification, and once Kilzyou had locked in his spot, it was only a matter of time before clubs came calling.
What makes this signing particularly noteworthy is the length of the deal. According to Kilzyou on social media, the contract runs for two years, a significant departure from the common practice of clubs signing players ahead of EWC only to part ways shortly after the tournament wraps up. Barring any issues, Kilzyou will be a genuine long-term presence with the team.
All Gamers recently added Vxbao and Zhen to their roster and will be looking to improve on their overall 6th-place finish from last year's EWC. With a powerful trio of players now in place, there is no doubt they will be in the mix with the top clubs.
Caba Makes a Surprise Move
The second announcement was the more eyebrow-raising of the two. GodLike Esports, an Indian organisation and one of the 40 partners in the EWC fund, revealed that they have signed Caba. Caba is already qualified for EWC through the Street Fighter League World Championship, so the signing itself makes sense on paper.
What is curious about the signing is the circumstances surrounding it. Caba has always been with Bandits Gaming, a Dominican organisation, two-time SFL USA winners, and a former SFL World Championship winner. Bandits are now co-owned by MenaRD, who is also a personal friend of Caba's. With no announcement of a parting of ways from Bandits, the nature of the deal with GodLike remains opaque.
Caba himself gave nothing away, responding to GodLike's announcement post by thanking the organisation for the opportunity and promising to give his all at upcoming tournaments.
He said: "I’m very happy and truly excited to be part of this great team. We will be working with a lot of discipline and strong ethics to give our best and represent GodLike at the highest level
"Thank you for trusting me!"
It may be a similar move to when MenaRD left Bandits to join Falcons, but there has been no announcement to that end, therefore, things are unclear.
Whether this is a loan arrangement, a full transfer, or something else entirely remains unclear. For now, the questions outnumber the answers.
The deadline for player transfers before EWC 2026 is the 30th of April. Three days remain, and if today is anything to go by, there is plenty more to come.
