iDom Qualifies For Red Bull Kumite Via Genesis X2 Tournament
The 2019 Capcom Cup winner shows that he's still got it

Capcom Cup 2019 winner, iDom, was again at the summit at a tournament after he won 1st place at the recently concluded Genesis X2 tournament defeating fellow Capcom Cup qualifier, Nephew in a pulsating grand final.

The win means that iDom has booked a ticket to Red Bull Kumite in Paris with GX2 acting as a qualifier for the event.

iDom was able to get the better of Nephew in a Grand Final to remember after winning the first set 3-1, before closing out a nerve-wracking final game, final round situation to win 3-2.

iDom's win is even more remarkable considering he didn't have the best of times in season 1 of the game and is quite infamous for complaining about Street Fighter 6, pointing out things such as a the Drive system as something that doesn't encourage innovative gameplay. This had led to some backlash with some even claiming that he was only saying so because he isn't good at the game.

iDom did qualify for Capcom Cup from the World Warrior series, winning the regional final, and proving that he is no slouch in Street Fighter 6. This win against a top player like Nephew after already defeating Riddles and EnzoTheHokage, shows once again the real quality in iDom's play, something that was echoed by Brian_F.

iDom will now join the other 14 players at Red Bull Kumite before traveling to Japan for Capcom Cup.
