Harada Shares New Details Behind Miary Zo's Lore
It's so ogre.

The recent Miary Zo trailer ended up raising some questions among the few Tekken fans who still try to follow the messy lore of the series. Most of these questions quite understandably revolve around Miary having ogre powers. After all, she's a new character we never heard of before, and lives on a whole other continent.

When asked about this on X, Harada responded with an explanation.

There you have it. Even though it was written down in design documents, it was never really explicit in the games themselves. The developer's social media account is not really the best source of canon either, but hey, it's Harada saying this.

Maybe it's just a plot convenience, but it does open up room not only for Miary herself to have a different set of Ogre powers, but it could also lead to this plotline developing further in future games.

There are four more potentially devastatingly powerful martial artists just laying dormant somewhere, and either they themselves or their powers would make a natural fit for both antagonist or protagonist roles when Tekken gets an inevitable sequel in 5 or 10 years.
