Gachikun Puts Out New SF6 Top 5, Akuma, JP, and Chun li All Missing

Former Capcom Cup winner, and DreamHack Dallas winner, Gachikun, has put out his latest tier list for Street Fighter 6 and it is certainly fascinating.

With the second season of Street Fighter 6 out now with new characters like Akuma and Bison, some characters have seen their stocks rise while others have seen theirs drop. 

One of those who have seen their stock drop is JP. The character was a menace in the first season, but now, with the nerfs, we have seen Kakeru drop him, and on Gachikun's list, he is in B-tier. 

Gachikun's top 5 goes thus: Cammy, Ken, Guile, Zangief, and Rashid. 

The addition of Rashid is understandable as this is the character that won both DreamHack tournaments, once by Gachikun and the other by Big Bird. Zangief has also been a menace in recent times, going from a trash character to one of the most feared. Itabashi Zangief has used the character to make it into the Esports World Cup, and Kobayan, another Japanese Zangief, is doing some serious work in the Topanga Championship. 

There was another tier under the Top 5 which read 'characters who it wouldn't be weird if they are top 5', that list features Bison, Akuma, Chun li and Ed. The other interesting thing of note was Ryu being down in C tier as the literal last character on the list meaning he is considered the weakest. This is interesting considering Ryu got a lot of buffs and if even with that he is unable to break out of the bottom tier, then perhaps the character has some serious problems. 

On a positive note, Gachikun made no attempt to downplay Rashid whom he has admitted is a very strong character this season even with the nerf to his level 2 super.
