FAV Gaming Say Goodbye To Ryusei
Ryusei will now be a free agent

Ryusei Ito, simply known as Ryusei, has left his team, FAV Gaming.

Ryusei joined FAV way back in 2018 and has spent 7 years with them. In that time he has enjoyed some incredible highs including winning Street Fighter League Japan with the team back in 2023.

In a statement on their website, FAV Gaming thanked Ryusei for all his years of service and said: "We would like to inform you that Ryusei, who has been a member of our fighting game division, will be leaving the group due to the expiration of his contract.

"Ryusei joined the team as an early member when the fighting game division was launched in 2018. He has contributed to the team through many activities, including his global success in the "CAPCOM Pro Tour" and winning "Street Fighter League: Pro-JP 2021" and "Street Fighter League: Pro-JP 2023" twice to become Japan's number one. We are grateful for his continued positive attitude and for his generous cooperation with the team outside of playing, including at events and on social media."

They added, "Thank you very much for the long period of about seven years.

"All of us at the team wish you the best of luck in your new endeavors."

Ryusei also had some touching words as he said, "The reason I am able to work as a pro gamer today is thanks to FAV gaming, who nurtured me from scratch when I knew nothing.

"I originally started with BlazBlue, and when I first joined the Street Fighter series I couldn't win at all, so I can't thank them enough for helping me grow to this point. I have so many fond memories that I can't list them all, but I'm really lucky that the first team I was on was FAV Gaming."

He added,  "Thank you so much for thinking about me from start to finish, and for watching over my growth as a player and as a person.

"Once again, thank you so much for all your help over the past 7 years!"

This should change the team's outlook heading into the new Street Fighter League season, with just Sako and Ryukichi as the official members. For the last SFL, they also recruited TS to join them for the season, but considering their poor run in the tournament, they might look elsewhere for the upcoming season.
