Mortal Kombat 1 visits its first Evo with lots of interesting narratives. Is Peacemaker dead? Is Homelander broken? Is Johnny broken? Who’s gonna be victorious in another meeting of SonicFox and the Chilean Twins?
This time around, we had a big upset before the top 6 – Scorpionprocs lost against MKJavierMK’s Scorpion. Ironic.
SonicFox and Nicolas made it to top 6 on the Winners side, though another upset was right around the corner – Nicolas lost against the Brazilian player Zeeus.
Nevertheless, he made a nice Losers run – beating Dyloch first, and then revealing his anti-Homelander tech – Rain. After this, he had the rematch against Zeeus, which he didn’t fumble, and made it to the Grand Final, where the final boss awaited him – SonicFox.
SonicFox made there without any troubles, handily dispatching MKJavierMK and Zeeus.
Grand Final was very hectic, with Nicolas making several uncharacteristic mistakes in this Johnny mirror. Sonic and their clutch factor is unreal, and that’s why they became a 7-time Evo champion!
