Street Fighter League Japan will start in August after being postponed from July.
The team rosters for all the teams have now been released. The remaining teams that hadn't released their rosters were REJECT and Crazy Raccoon.
REJECT put out their roster on the 29th of June with one of the most amazing videos ever. From it we got a surprise as Torimeshi formerly of Creative Gaming, joined the team. The second addition was an even bigger surprise as it was none other than Leshar from South Korea.
This is rare, but not unprecedented. For instance, Sasamo, who is competing with IBUSHIGIN, is part Brazilian, but an even better example was Gunfight, a French player living in Japan, who represented Team iXA in 2022.
What is unique is the fact that this is the first time, a player not actively living in Japan, and who represents a foreign team, will be playing in Street Fighter League Japan. It makes one wonder if this might be something we see again in the future.
