He made some comments on stream that wasn't taken well
The team captain for Crazy Raccoon who are competing in Street Fighter League Japan, Dogura, has had to apologize for some statements he made while on stream and has received a warning from Capcom.
Street Fighter League Japan is really popular in the country right now with hundreds of thousands of fans tuning in each match day.
Dogura, while on stream, was asked by someone if he was okay as he seemed to be playing Valorant especially with his team playing in a match the next day. To this Dogura made a statement that made it seem like Street Fighter League was not so serious. These statements were received poorly by Capcom.
Capcom released a statement on X in which they said that they had issued a warning to Dogura over the comments they deemed inappropriate. They also said they will be in touch with his team to ensure that such a thing doesn't happen again.
Crazy Raccoon has also released a statement thanking fans for all their support and apologized to fans over the statment made by Dogura. CR also mentioned that they had taken measures to prevent any future occurence and the player has been warned.
The sentiment on Japanese social media is split as some consider it simply a joke, while others consider it a disparagement of SFL and something that could affect the integrity of the competition.
Dogura himself responded to Crazy Raccoon's post also apologizing for his words which he called reckless.
Crazy Raccoon will be in action on the 25th of October when they face CAG Osaka.
