Capcom Reveals Updated Series Sales: Street Fighter Hits 58 Million
The company is one of the most successful in the world

Capcom has updated its lifetime sales figures, revealing how some of its most iconic franchises have performed over the years.

In the company’s latest financial report for the fiscal year ending March 2026, Resident Evil continues to dominate with a massive 178 million units sold across its series. Monster Hunter sits comfortably in second place with 128 million units sold, while Street Fighter takes third with 58 million units.

The latest installment, Street Fighter 6, has now surpassed 5.7 million copies sold since its 2023 release. This makes it one of Capcom’s top five best-selling titles to date, a strong performance for a fighting game in today’s market.

Street Fighter 6’s success has been particularly notable in Japan, where it has become something of a cultural phenomenon reminiscent of the Street Fighter II era. Collaborations such as the McDonald’s Japan Street Fighter campaign, which introduced themed burgers and promotions, highlight the game’s wide-reaching appeal.

The game’s competitive scene has also played a major role in keeping momentum high. Events like Street Fighter League Japan have consistently drawn large audiences, while the most recent Capcom Cup, held in Japan, was widely praised as one of the best in the tournament’s history thanks to the passionate local fanbase.

Now entering its third season of DLC, Street Fighter 6 recently added C. Viper to the roster, with Alex and Ingrid expected to round out the current season. With strong sales, high engagement, and continued community support, Street Fighter 6 stands as proof that the fighting game genre is thriving once again.
