Adeline Rudolph Join Mortal Kombat 2 Cast as Kitana

Mortal Kombat 2, the sequel to the 2021 live-action movie, has received another confirmed key character candidate.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adeline Rudolph, best known for debuting as Agatha Night in Netflix's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, will play Kitana in the upcoming film. The actress, who will present an updated interpretation of the Princess of Outworld, may also be familiar to you from the Riverdale and Resident Evil series.

Notably, Jade will appear among the new characters in Mortal Kombat 2, whose role was approved by Tati Gabrielle. She also participated in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Netflix's sensation You. Karl Urban is already on board to transform into Johnny Cage, alongside Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica MacNamee as Sonya Blade, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion.

Production will begin this summer in Australia with Simon McQuoid in the director's chair. The release date for Mortal Kombat 2 is still unknown. We will likely hear many more updates on the sequel soon due to increased interest in the franchise after the recent premiere of Mortal Kombat 1 from NetherRealm Studios.
