Fulgore was created to be the ultimate killing machine. Made as a highly specialized artificial soldier, It was entered into the first Killer Instinct tournament to test its combat prowess. The plan was for victory, which was supposed to lead toward mass production and the eventual enslavement of humanity.
When Jago was able to destroy the MK I Fulgore, another one was created with even more terrifying abilities and a sleeker design for better mobility. What’s more, this Fulgore has just one mission— to kill Jago.
Finally, a new and improved Fulgore is created, a MK III, which is tasked with destroying all the enemies of Ultratech. There are some complications, however, as it seems that this Fulgore is a little less ruthless and is willing to think, plan, and even show mercy. Many considered that Fulgore was made with human parts, a fact which seems to be confirmed by the presence of Eagle’s will within It, which makes it difficult for Fulgore to carry out any wicked plans.
There is no personality for Fulgore, it is literally a robot! It was made to operate without a heart, and it simply carries out its orders with stoic determination.
Fulgore is a well-balanced character that can play in just about any way you want it to play. Thanks to its toolkit, Fulgore can easily play as a zoner or a rushdown character. Equipped with a fireball and DP, it can keep opponents away and can anti-air effectively. Once Fulgore has meter, there is a lot of damage it can do, and it can delete health bars in no time. On the flip side, once without meter, Fulgore becomes a lot more ordinary, meaning that using Fulgore is mentally tasking and requires a great deal of patience.
Fulgore is a robot and, over the years, has gone through some design changes. In the first Killer Instinct, Its aesthetic was clearly inspired by medieval knights, down to the fancy plume on top of its helmet. In the latest KI, Fulgore is a lot slimmer than the earlier iterations. It also has thrusters and other mechanics that enable faster movement. There is circuitry running all over its body, and behind its breastplate is a small nuclear reactor that can send off a powerful blast.
