Jack-8

Story

When we talk about Jack-8, we don't have much to talk about this humanoid weapon machine. It is the next-generation model with vastly improved AI, capable of learning with incredible speed and accuracy. It is used by G-Corp and developed by Jane. However, if we look deeper into the history of the Jack model, there will be some notable pages.

The first model, Jack, was created in the USSR by Dr. Bosconovitch, and its first mission was to kill Kazuya Mishima during the King of Iron Fist Tournament. After the failed attempt, an upgraded version, Jack-2, appeared. 

Jack-2 was a mass-produced model. However, one model defied its programming and deserted the army alongside an infected girl named Jane. That very same unit would join the King of Iron Fist Tournament to free Dr. Bosconovitch, as it was possible that he would make Jack human.

That was a failure. Jack-2 was destroyed by safelight, and Jane spent ten years repairing it. While working on it, she found out that parts of its AI were developed by a Mishima Zaibatsu subsidiary and a project called "Gun Jack." Infiltrating the Mishima Zaibatsu facility was unsuccessful, and while Gun Jack shielded Jane, things could get much worse if not for G-Corporation. 

Jane joined the G-Corporation and became the robot designer. The next editions of the robot were mainly purposed to defeat Mishima Zaibatsu. However, as they failed, Jane brought improvements to it, and now we have Jack-8. It has a significantly increased firepower and Gamma system, an electromagnetic pulse weapon.

Amid the chaos caused by Kazuya, now the time has come to deploy Jack-8 into battle…

Personality

Jack-8 is a perfect weapon. It will destroy all enemies with its sheer power and aggression and will protect valuable people with robotic devotion.

Playstyle

Jack-8 is a big, strong monster. Its strikes are powerful and deal great damage, but in return, Jack-8 might not seem very agile while also not having variable moves. So, for players, it is important to maintain great timing and be very efficient with the tools they are given.

His most significant advantage is the ridiculously long range of attacks. That's why, at middle range, he is the deadliest: in close range, he might be a little clunky; at very long range, he is predictable, but between them, the opponent will have great troubles.

Appearance

The Jack robots have maintained the same general appearance throughout their various iterations - humanoid juggernauts with bulging muscles. However, not all of them are designed to look like humans. Jack-8 is one such robot. It has little skin-like covering, and most of its metal parts on the hands, chest and waist are accompanied by the red light.
