Aval Organization is somewhat of a legend. A long time ago, the king of this knightly order wielded the spirit sword to battle the user of the cursed sword. Since then, Aval Organization has been operating from the shadows, always looking for the spirit sword to bestow to their future king and to protect the world from the Malfested, whom they call Outsiders.

Grøh was one member of the organization's punitive force. Having good judgment and impressive fighting skills, he was a perfect candidate to lead a squad that would hunt down and kill Nightmare, the Azure Knight. However, fortune was not on his side. His entire force was killed, and Grøh himself was gravely wounded.

Azwel has managed to save Grøh from certain death, but not without his own ulterior motives. While Grøh was unconscious, Azwel experimented on him and infected Grøh with Malfestation, nearly driving him mad. After the fight, Grøh regained his senses and eventually accepted the new power, as it could aid him in his mission of eradicating Nightmare and the Outsiders.

After such a failure on his last mission, Grøh's membership in the organization was at risk. However, a fellow pupil of Orzal and his friend, Curtis, offered him a chance to regain his standing. With some information from Orzal, the two of them set out after the Fygul Cestemus cult.

Once they located their headquarters, a fight ensued where the cultists brought out a demonic warrior, the creation of the cursed blade. The skeletal fighter proved too strong for both of them, forcing Grøh to reveal his Malfested power. While he managed to defeat the enemies, he is now challenged by Curtis, who cannot accept what Grøh has become. However, Grøh took his friend down without taking his life and, after regaining complete control of himself, asked Curtis to keep him in check.

Unfortunately, their reconciliation was interrupted by Azwel. To get the piece of the cursed sword himself, he infested Curtis with Malfestation and forced the two friends to fight to the death. He attempted to take the Grøh on as well, but an earthquake forced them to flee and lose sight of each other.

When he came to the organization, he found out that Orzal also perished, likely connected to Azwel's betrayal of the Aval knights. Since then, Grøh's mission has been to find and kill the traitor who cursed him and left his closest friends dead.

Grøh is a young man with pale skin, white hair with blue highlights, and claw scars over his left eye, which he covers with an eyepatch. He wears a gray jacket with coattails and furred collar, gray leggings, and grey thigh boots. He wears minimal armor, only using greaves and gauntlets, with his left gauntlet covering most of his hand, likely related to his malfestation.

Grøh's usual demeanor is strictly professional and to the point. As a member of Aval Organization, Grøh is first and foremost focused on efficiently completing his assignments and achieving goals set before him, with any personal feelings taking a back seat.

However, he's not without his own troubles, emotions, and affections. Grøh has shown a deep sense of compassion for his closest friends, forming a near-familial bond with them. This strong compassion for his friends and the Aval Organization is also why Grøh feels near uncontrollable rage towards Azwel.

Grøh's playstyle is reasonably straightforward but not without some very unique elements. His general kit is geared towards a very offensive playstyle, focusing on heavy pressure, relentless pokes, and threatening mixups.

Two of Grøh's defining features are his Avenger stance and the Soul Charge. In the Avenger stance, Grøh splits his lance into two swords and gains access to powerful mixups, and Soul Charge takes it even further. As Grøh unleashes his malfested powers, he gets access to insane mobility with dashing teleports that can cross-up opponents and significantly augments moves that make his already good offense even scarier.

As expected of such an aggressive character, Grøh's defense tools are underwhelming. If the opponent shows good awareness, it can also be challenging for Grøh to get in close range and start enforcing his game plan.
