Biography

Story

Created in the halls of the Heretical Order Fygul Cestemus, Grand Shrine of Palgaea, Astaroth was made to embody the form of their god, Ares, as well as the strength of Ker. The cult warriors trained him in martial arts and their fighting style, his brutality would earn him the title of The Demonic Guard. As a Golem, a construct, it went on to complete its mission without hesitation. to search and capture the cursed sword.

In his search for the Blade, Astaroth would decimate a ship full of pirates but leave one behind, a young pirate named Maxi, as he scaped with the Dvapara-Yuga, one of the three treasures of the Ling Sheng-Su Temple.

After becoming an Azure Knight, through his involvement with Nightmare, and seeing the restoration of the once broken Soul Edge. While gathering the would require to power Soul Edge fully, Astaroth was struck down by Maxi, killed were it not for his Godhood which provided him with immortality, though one that require him a lengthy amount of time to fully heal.

Personality

A bloodthirsty and chaotic figure that takes much of his existence straight from the God of War himself, Ares. A special kind of evil that feeds not just o the suffering of others in war and conflict but of enacting that suffering himself. As part of his powers, any warrior slain by Astaroth has their memories transferred to him, allowing him to become ever wiser and clever with each kill, a striking contrast to his brute appearance.

Playstyle

A long-range melee character with a heightened focus on big damage attacks and throws aided by his Demonic Guard. As expected by his size and damage, he is rather slow in his attacks, adding further to his reliance on range for fights. Parrying is a core defensive tool for Astaroth, as any well-timed parry can lead to powerful comebacks.

Appearance

A huge chunk of god-like meat is powered up to the nth degree to achieve a cult's wishes. If you can imagine what such an entity would look like, then you can picture Astaroth, simply add a monstrous Axe, the Kulutes, and you are ready to go. His armor adorns his shoulders and knees in striking spikes and metal edges intent to hurt any that come near. But it is his eyes and serpentine collar that truly strike fear into the souls of any lesser warrior.
