ZETA DIVISION Disbands Tekken Roster Following Contract Expirations
Its goodbye to 3 of Japan's top prospects

Japanese esports organization ZETA DIVISION has officially announced the dissolution of its Tekken division, confirming that it has parted ways with all three members of its roster.

This means the end of ZETA’s Tekken lineup featuring double, KEISUKE, and WATANABE, who were all signed simultaneously in 2024 as founding members of the division. In a brief statement shared on social media, ZETA confirmed that the players’ contracts had expired and that the organization had opted not to renew them.

An official statement on ZETA DIVISION’s website read:

“We would like to inform you that double, KEISUKE, and WATANABE from the TEKKEN division have left the company due to the expiration of their contracts, and the ZETA DIVISION TEKKEN division will be disbanded.

Double, KEISUKE, and WATANABE joined ZETA DIVISION in May 2024 as founding members of the TEKKEN division.

Since the division’s inception, double has placed highly in numerous tournaments thanks to his characteristically quick attacks, including a brilliant third-place finish at the Esports World Cup 2024. KEISUKE, one of the world’s leading Mishima Kazuya players, has thrilled many fans, placing fifth at EVO 2024 and competing in the Esports World Cup for two consecutive years. As a young player in the Tekken world, WATANABE has not only achieved success in domestic and international tournaments, but has also worked hard to promote the younger player community.

We would like to express our gratitude to double, KEISUKE, and WATANABE for their contributions to date, and we sincerely hope that they will continue to make great strides in the future.”

Each player leaves the organization with a strong résumé. double was one of ZETA’s standout performers, most notably securing a third-place finish at the Esports World Cup 2024. KEISUKE established himself as one of the world’s premier Kazuya specialists, finishing fifth at EVO 2024 and appearing at the Esports World Cup in back-to-back years. WATANABE, meanwhile, emerged as a promising young talent and played an active role in growing the next generation of Tekken players.

While ZETA DIVISION is stepping away from Tekken for now, the organization remains a major force in the FGC. Its Street Fighter roster recently qualified for the Street Fighter League Japan playoffs, underlining the team’s continued commitment to the scene.

With Tekken 8 Season 3 approaching and roster shake-ups happening across the competitive landscape, it would not be surprising to see ZETA DIVISION re-enter Tekken in the future with a refreshed lineup.
