What DF Happened Last Week? Oct 22 - Oct 28
Highlights of the last 7 days in the FGC

Another week comes to an end, and DashFight is here, as usual, to tell you about all the notable events from the past several days. Buckle up and enjoy your news feed down below.

Smash Bros. prototype

Masahiro Sakurai, a renowned Japanese game designer, in his latest video, showed what Smash Bros. could've looked like back in the day. The game called Dragon King: The Fighting Game was an early concept of what later became Super Smash Bros, without Nintendo characters but already with a familiar interface and mechanics. You can check out the full video down below.

DNF Duel's latest patch

A couple of days ago, DNF Duel received a massive patch, 1.08, which is aimed to fix some notable matchmaking bugs, control issues for PC players, Player Match Room fixes, and more quality-of-life improvements. You can check out the patch notes here on the official website.

Street Fighter 6 potential release date

According to tweets from Genki and Maximilian Dood, who made some kind of investigation on Capcom's financial report, Street Fighter 6 won't release until April 2023. However, Evo 2022 was a farewell to Street Fighter 5 as a main stage title, and Capcom Cup IX, which is set to happen somewhere at the beginning of 2023, will most likely be the last for SF5 as well, we can expect the next installment to come out before the next Capcom Pro Tour starts.

The fighting card game is coming our way

Sirlin Games showed us the first gameplay video of Yomi 2, a fighting card game, and opened a Steam page for the title. The unusual hybrid of fighter and card game is set to release somewhere in 2023. It's an adaptation of the board game Yomi and will feature real-time online battles with the possibility of asynchronous matches in turn-based mode.
