Evo lineup revealed

Last week we had an Evo Announcement Show, where the lineup for the event has been revealed. Evo 2022 will take place on August 5-7th, 2022 in Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, with nine main disciplines to compete in, which includes Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, Mortal Kombat 11, Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XV, Melty Blood Type Lumina, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and Skullgirls 2nd Encore. Registration for the convention also began last week, on March 9. 

Red Bull Golden Letters

Red Bull announced a new Tekken 7 tournament - the Golden Letters. It stands out with quite an unusual format to spice things up: taking three rounds with Great or Perfect means an automatic win. Arslan Ash and Anakin are already waiting for their opponents, with two more renowned players to be invited and four to qualify through open bracket, capped at 96 entrants. The qualification will take place on March 26 in Red Bull Gaming Sphere London and the Top 8 will follow on March 27. 

Smash World Tour 2022

Ultimate and Melee fans, rejoice! Smash World Tour 2022 is back and will last from March 12 to November 16. A dozen of events have been announced already, with a new point system, Silver & Gold tiers of events, and an overall prize pool of more than $250,000. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R

Ready your ora ora ora and yare yare daze, for the critically acclaimed JoJo fighting game is coming back remastered for PS4&5 with a full DLC package and an updated voice pack. The release is planned for early Autumn this year.

Bandai Namco charity

Last week Bandai Namco announced in their Twitter accounts that the company is about to donate 100 million yen for children refugees who suffered from the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This generous move by the Japanese company follows many other initiatives from various video game developers and publishers over the last few weeks.

P4A Ultimax Charity Sho-Down Invitational

Atlus supports the fresh port of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax with a notable charity invitational tournament. With over $20,000 in the prize pool, all the money will be directed to various charity organizations through the players. The event itself will feature a Top 8 double-elimination bracket and will take place on March 18. 

Collision 2022

Another Smash Ultimate major event happened last weekend, Collision 2022. It took place in New York, USA, gathered over 800 attendees and featured Singles, Doubles, and Squad Strike tournaments. It ended up with Glutonny and MkLeo winning the Doubles, and Sparg0 taking victory in Singles, beating Tweek in the grand finals.
