The Evo legend has turned scientist and produced his own button
Evo 2017 winner, Tokido, has announced the debut of a new button he is calling the “OneFRAME” which he helped in the development of. The button is supposed to activate faster than others on the market which might make it more useful for competitive players.
Tokido has been putting up videos on his YouTube where he analyses controllers and how fast they are and the advantage they provide for the player. His latest video, he tested out his own button and from a short clip he shared on X, he was able to pull of Zangief's level 3 super in record quick time.
Tokido will be using the button for Evo Japan 2024 on his controller and fans can try out the button at Evo Japan as there will be a representative (Ponta-san) who will have it available for trial.
In the world of competitive gaming where the margins are so fine, having even a millisecond of advantage can be the difference between $1,000,000 and $300,000 prize money, so having something like this is very important.
Another company, Grapht, have also released details on buttons of their own which is also for fighting games and is to make things faster. It will also be available for testing at Evo Japan.
Evo Japan is taking place this weekend between the 27th and 29th of April 2024.
